Head of Development - Leeds

Role Overview:

They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Development to lead their talented team of developers. As the Head of Development, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 12 developers, including frontend developers, backend PHP developers, and QA testers.
• Oversee the development process from conception to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as design and project management, to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Act as a technical advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on project requirements and technical feasibility.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior development role, with a strong background in web development.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• In-depth knowledge of frontend and backend development technologies, including but not limited to VueJs, JavaScript, Laravel, Symfony, Azure, AWS.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality software iteratively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork, with a passion for driving continuous improvement.
